Naturally long shelf life
protera guard™ is just the first example of how we can create proteins able to outperform chemical additives with respect to shelf life extension, while also bringing labelling and potential marketing claim benefits to food products. We are also developing further ingredients that can be used in a wider range of foods such as meat and dairy.
We are using madi™ to develop lipid-modifying enzymes with high specific activity, whilst madi also allows us to ensure that this IP is proprietary.
